Easter Nails

I loved these nail polishes the moment I saw them hit the blogosphere. I was really drawn to the blue colour as I just thought it was so pretty and gave a really good duck egg look. Perfect for Spring. I also loved the look of the nude and pink but I have colours like that in my collection already, where as the blue was something totally different.

This is the shade Fragile and is part of the i'mperfection collection. Priced at £14.50 it was a total treat for a polish that I can't wear on a day to day basis. But it has been gracing my finger tips over the weekends as a fun addition to my weekend casuals.

2 coats of this polish give a great vibrant opaque colour. The mottled look is achieved with small and large flecks of matte glitter particles in light and navy blue. This will last me the whole weekend without chipping provided the marigolds are doned for the housework. The only negative is that like all glitter polishes it is an absolute nightmare to remove. But, something this pretty is totally worth the pain.

Have a beautiful Easter everyone x

*Nars Dupe* KIKO Blusher

This was a purchase from months ago, after my first visit to Westfield in Stratford and my total make up freak out when I found KIKO - that shop is totally amazing!

I indulged in some nail items and skin care, but this is one of the stand out products, mainly because I could not believe my little green eyes when I realised how closely it resembled Nars Orgasm blusher.

First the packaging. It is in the Nars style rubber like packaging with KIKO in emblazoned on the front in white. The only thing with this material, and just like Nars is that it shows up all of the marks. It is also a much smaller compact, with a full lid size mirror in the top, perfect for on the go applications.

The colour is apparently Golden Peach (it just gives a number on the packaging) but I think it is definitely more pink, with those golden flecked undertones that make the Nars equivalent so coveted. A quick sweep, gives a light flush, but it definitely builds nicely into something more vibrant if that is your thing. It's not quite as smooth to apply and isn't quite as long lasting as the Nars product, but for almost £20 more for the 'designer' version that would be expected, and this isn't really a negative for the product. I totally love this and would definitely treat myself to some more KIKO products if I'm ever lucky enough to be in Stratford again.

The blushers can be brought from KIKO online for £7.50 which I think is a totally bargain price.

Have you found any Nars Dupes recently?

Griefing

The last few weeks has been very sad, and as a result this online space, and keeping up to date with all of the other blogs that I read has taken a necessary back seat.

Grief - weheartit
My otherwise healthy Grandmother was taken ill very suddenly, and as a result sadly passed away very quickly. It was a total shock to me, and to the rest of my family. Our lovely kind and gentle Grandmother who doted on every little thing that we did, has gone and there is just a massive hole in all of our lives.

I have lost a grandparent before, but they were very ill for a very long time, and for some reason it feels very different. I have also lost other family members, but when you are younger, it doesn't quite have the same effect. I feel that this is the first time I have ever felt proper grief and it really is like a huge black hole, that at the moment is not getting any smaller.

Little things remind you of that amazing person, and at the moment seeing the Spring flowers flourish reminds me of her every day. She loved her garden, and she loved Spring and Summer as much as I do. I am trying to focus on happy memories and I feel blessed that I was lucky enough to have her in my life.

Bloglovin

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hi guys,

Working through some of the technical aspects of getting my blog on bloglovin after Google Reader announced that they will be closing down the service (and likely GFC) from July.

I hope this works, and if you follow GFC why not now follow via Bloglovin instead, to make sure you are kept up to date with all new posts.
